Go Green with NJ Buddies and Viridian

Buddies has partnered up with Viridian, a new energy supplier in our region, to bring you savings on your electric bill while at the same time raising funds for Buddies of New Jersey. Buddies will get $2 per month per household that uses our program.

As most of you know, the State of New Jersey allows you to shop for your own energy supplier. The providers have pretty much stayed the same, so for instance if you live in the Bergen/Passaic area most likely your provider is PSE&G.

Here's the low-down on our Viridian Energy Program:

Viridian's mission is to supply greener energy, at lower prices than the standard utility companies. This is achieved by choosing to work through direct marketing and operating on smaller corporate margins. Green energy comes from hydro (water) and wind power, currently from Pennsylvania.

PSE&G (or whoever your provider is), actually subs out the actual energy supply (see the "supply" section on your bill). Viridian is simply another supplier. You'll still get your bill and have all your dealings with/through PSE&G. Nothing will change but the line on your bill which will now would show Viridian as the supplier. Highlights of using our Viridian program:

You will pay less on your electric bill: up to 15%+ less if you choose the 20% green option, and up to 9% if you choose the 100% green option.
There is no contract to sign.
There is no fee to switch to Viridian (or to switch back for that matter).
Your monthly bill from PSE&G will show you how much you've saved each month using Viridian, versus the default supplier you are now using.
Should anything ever interrupt Viridian service, you automatically revert to the default supplier so there is NEVER any chance of interruption in your service because of supply.
NJ Buddies will get $2 per month per household that uses our program.
