The 2nd Annual New Jersey AIDS Walk - Sunday, May 6, 2012

One Day – One Cause – Seven Locations – RIDGEWOOD - Newark - Morristown - New Brunswick - Asbury Park - Pennsauken - Atlantic City
With more than 50,000 people currently living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey, we have never needed the community's support more. NJ Buddies hopes you will join us at our site: the Saddle River County Park (Ridgewood Duck Pond) in Ridgewood, NJ.
The event will begin at 11:30 am with Registration, during which participants receive their T-shirts, help themselves to refreshments, interact with sponsorship representatives and activities, and view the AIDS Memorial Quilt. At 12:30 pm, everyone will gather at the Pavilion for the opening ceremony and group photo. At 1:00 pm, a guest speaker will deliver a speech; local politicians appear as well. Participants (in Ridgewood and the other locations) step-off for the 5K Walk at 1:30 pm. Participants will be in athletic attire, with T-shirts provided on the day of the event.
Expected attendance is > 2100 statewide. It is our goal, through advertising and promotions, to reach the over 8 million residents infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Please save the date and look out for more information to come in 2012! Location: Ridgewood Duck Pond - Saddle River County Park, 1133 E. Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood, NJ, 07450
