The 4th Annual New Jersey AIDS Walk is a Success!

Thank you all for making the 2014 AIDS Walk
& Kickoff Extravaganza our biggest fundraiser!

On Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Ridgewood Duck Pond in Saddle River County Park, our supporters joined together to raise awareness and funds for those living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. Buddies would like to thank all of our sponsors and our walking participants for their support in being part of the solution in ending the effects of HIV/AIDS in this state.

NJ Buddies was one of the 5 of New Jersey's Premier AIDS Service Organizations, spanning every region of the Garden State, to make this event a success. An estimated 55,000 people are currently living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey, our state has the fifth highest rate of reported cases of HIV infection in the United States. Although people living with HIV/AIDS often face acts of prejudice and discrimination, AIDS is an equal opportunity virus. The "at risk" populations include all races, religions, sexual orientations, age groups and socio-economic classes.

This year as we put in our effort in making the New Jersey AIDS WALK and NJ BUDDIES KICKOFF EXTRAVAGANZA a success... we did not forget to do it in a spirit which gives our all, crosses as many T's as possible, and yet, always remembered to have fun along the way. Thank you, Steve, for showing such a wonderful way to help others.

Fundraising and Social Activities: A significant portion of New Jersey Buddies' annual revenue comes from individual volunteer contributions and fundraising activities. These fundraising activities focus on providing opportunities for fun and socialization among the hundreds of New Jersey Buddies volunteers and clients.
